Have an Archive
I've randomly decided that I should be a good boy and actually post links to our archives, at least occasionally, so here's the one for today
. This show was broadcast with both of us in my studio.
Oh, in case you haven't figured it out yet, Deraitland Radio is back. Since Caitlin and I have guide dogs now, and our houses are within walking distance, we may be able to do shows in this style at least semi-regularly. I'll try to post the archives here, but you can always visit our archive page
, where you can not only get the latest archives manually, but you can also subscribe to our podcast. That's all I have to say for now. Bye.

Deraitland Radio Today
Deraitland Radio will take the place of Blart Radio today, February 11, starting at 5:00 pacific, 8:00 Eastern, and the equivalent times in other places. You can of course listen to us at http://tbrn.net:8000
for broadband, and http://tbrn.net:8002
for dial-up. You can write to us on MSN at firstname.lastname@example.org, or on AIM at tbrnlive. You can call us on Skype on tbrnlive, or via telephone toll free at 866-509-tbrn, or if you can, call us at 334-239-0741 (note the last digit is, and will remain for quite some time, a one.).
Also note that there will not be a show on Sunday. It is likely that there will, however, be a Blart Radio during our normal time slot, so tune in anyway.

There'll Be A Show Today
Hopefully with both hosts, at some point!
I have choir, but will be back in the second hour of the show. Start out with Derek at 3:00 PM Pacific, 6 Eastern, and figure out yoru time zone from there, because I'm nto smart enough to. You know the URLshttp://tbrn.net:8000
for broadband athttp://tbrn.net:8002
I don't know if Derek's doing Icecast, so if you know what that is and are interested, ask him.
TBRNLive for AIM and Skype, email@example.com for MSN, 866-509-8276 for the toll-free number, and if you can call long-distance, which would be great, use 1-334-2390741 and we'll all love you forever. Heh.
Have fun! And remember, if you don't want to hear me, clear out after the first hour, or you are doomed.

Deraitland Radio This Week
Hi. First of all, sorry about our laxness (laxity? both are in the dictionary) regarding this community. Deraitland streams, or some form of them, have been carrying on relatively uninterrupted, and archives are uploaded for whenever there was a stream and whatever form it took. I'm writing now to tell you that Deraitland will be taking place during Blart Radio's normal slot this week and this week only. The methods of listening to and contacting us have not changed; http://tbrn.net:8000
for broadband and dial-up respectively, firstname.lastname@example.org for MSN or Windows Messenger, tbrnlive for both AIM and Skype, 866-509-tbrn (8276) for toll free calls (same disclaimer about call times applies), and (334) 239-0747 for calls paid for by you.
The show will take place tomorrow, Saturday January 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Pacific, eight to ten Eastern, and the corresponding times in any other timezone that you might use as a reference to tell the time.

Sorry to say there will be no Deraitland, Derek or Caitlin stream this weekend. Sob sob. Derek's up at the lake and I'm going o see my grandparnets. DOn't miss us too much! Check out the archives if you really get a Deraitland craving.
for crying out loud, ahah.

Well, the second edition of Deraitland Radio in two and a half months took place this week, and we have an archive to prove it. So, if you want the archive as proof that there actually was a show, or if you honestly want the archive to listen to, you can get it right here
. You may also be interested to know that Caitlin's two solo streams have been posted, so here's one, and here's the other one
. I hope I didn't break any of those, but I probably did. Anyway, I think that's all for now. Bye.
P.S. Well, if I didn't break the links, it had to be something else. I posted this to my own journal the first time. How blah, huh?
Just thought I'd be good and write and let you know that there will be a Deraitland stream today! Yayay. So do tune in. I think we're planning on having one hour of calls and one of talk, but I'm not sure as we've not really discussed it. Whatever. Deraitland is playing on TBRN's automation as i type this, so if you want to check out us and all the other awesome programmers which are being re-streamed all day long when live programming isn't available, go puthttp://tbrn.net:8000
in your player of choice for broadband andhttp://tbrn.net:8002
in your player of choice for dialup.
Thank you lots!

For those of you who don't know, I finally learned how to stream myself.
Yay. I did this because Derek's away this weekend and he insisted we not
skip another Deraitland slot. I agree with this. As it turned out, the show
went fairly well, if a bit spontaneous. Thanks to J for helping me out
loads. Even though I can't take skype calls because of my evilly primitive
setup, I can still stream, and that's what counts. I'm still getting used to
the ropes though. I'll be streaming on Sunday again, at 3:00 PM Pacific.
Tune in if you're really bored and want to hear me incriminate myself. If
you have any ideas about what you'd like me to do on the show don't hesitate
to suggest. I'm already receiving requests to read some of my LJ posts on
air, which should be ... um ... interesting. So don't hesitate to contact me
with ideas. Thanks guys! Take care.

Deraitland Stream Archive
Yes, you read correctly, I said Deraitland archive. For the first time in eight weeks and two days, there was actually a show that could accurately be called Deraitland Radio. On this show, we permitted only text-based interaction, and this worked better than our old format sometimes worked. While we do like the interactive side calls can give, when the show becomes entirely built around calls, as ours inevitably became, the show has a tendency to sink to a lower level than it could otherwise be. We're trying to figure out a way of balancing our show out in such a way that we can still allow people to call in, but where the show is not entirely centered around calls. Suggestions for doing this are welcome.
Anyway, I had a purpose other than going on a tangent about calls, and that was to post a link to the archive of this week's show. So, here it is
. Enjoy or something.

The Long Overdue Archive
Well, I know you've all been just dying to get your hands on this archive for the last week and a half, and now it's finally here. Well, it will be in about twenty minutes from when I'm writing this. So, if it's after that time, you can get it right here
. While I'm here, I'll tell you that there will be no stream for this Sunday, because I'm visiting my dad who'll be in town. I think that's all there is to say. Bye for now

My Solo Stream
Since Caitlin's still at Music Camp, I did a solo stream in our normal slot on TBRN. When it's finished uploading in about twenty-one minutes, you'll be able to download the archive
. This show passed back and forth between the two extremes of very boring and quite interesting. The main highlight of the show is the return of the mystery caller of a couple months ago, you know, the one who claims to be a resident of "the trailer down by the river next to the second mud hole." This show contains many clues as to who the person may or may not be, and it may be that our assumption of who the person was may be completely wrong. I'd be interested to hear people's take on which clues are true clues and which ones aren't, as well as guesses as to the true identity of this person.

Deraitland Stream Tomorrow
There will be a Deraitland stream sometime tomorrow evening pacific time. That's the evening of the twenty-second of July. The stream can be heard on the Deraitland mountpoint at http://tbrn.net:8080/deraitland
(Note you will not be able to click on the above link; you will instead have to paste that URL into your player of choice.). We don't know exactly when the stream will start, so it's best to add email@example.com and/or deraitlandradio to MSN Messenger and AIM respectively. Finally, there will be no stream on Sunday, due to the fact that I'll be on vacation.

Lack of Stream Yesterday
Sorry I didn't let you know there wasn't a stream yesterday. Derek was at the lake, but even if he hadn't been I was glued to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and probably wouldn't have streamed anyway. Haha I'm so undedicated.
We'll do one soonish. Whenever we can. Haha.
So you guys take care and read HP6! Cuz its' gooooood!

Hi. After a four week hiatus, we're finally streaming again. We'll be streaming in our usual slot at 3:00 PM Pacific, 6:00 PM Eastern, and 22:00 UTC. You can tune in, as usual, at http://tbrn.net:8000
for broadband or http://tbrn.net:8002
for dial-up. You can also contact us via MSN or Windows Messenger at firstname.lastname@example.org and on AIM and Skype at tbrnlive. You can also call us toll free in the US at 1-866-509-TBRN, which is 1-866-509-8276. Note that, as before, this number is paid for by the minute, so keep call times to that number to a minimum.

Hope you're all having a loverly summer. Just thought I'd post to say that, and also no stream this weekend. And probably next either because I think Derek's still off on his little vacation in Iowa-land, land of the Hawk-Eyes. Or is that ... um ... I dunno? I think that's right. Lol who cares.
Anyway, here's somethign else for you all to look at. A little community promotion from myself and Sam.
I thought maybe you'd be interested in joining this, since lots of blind people have perfect or relative pitch, or know people who do. This isn't a blindie's community, far from it; everyone is welcome. So tell your friends, join yourself, introduce yourself, and have fun, whether you have perfect pitch or not.
Do you wish you had perfect pitch? DO you know someone who does? Do you want to know more about it? Do you ever question what it's like for people who have perfect pitch, people who can pull notes out of thin air? Well, if any of these things apply to you, or you are just feeling like joining, hop on over toperfect_pitch
and see what the fun's all about!
Hope to see you there!

Sorry for the lack of streams lately. There was no stream last week cuz
was at the lake, and this weekend there won't be one because
and Michael will be going to the lake. So we will not have one. As to whether or not there will be one next weekend, I don't know yet, but we may do one on our mountpoint?
And now, I shall shamelessly promote some communities I am part of, and a moderator for.
Do you have perfect pitch? Are you interested in it? Then joinperfect_pitch
Do you like to write? Then joinwriters_niche
for reading, writing, editing and receiving constructive criticism.
Have you seen the movie and-or read the book "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?" Would you like to play in a role-playing game for it on LJ? Then joinlove_pants
And don't forget to tell your friends about this community, deraitland
TBRN's LJ Communitytbrn
Thanks guys, and have a lovely weekend.

Archive from 14 Jun 2005
I was looking in the archives for the Mounpoint show broadcast on June 14 and did not see them up there. Anyone know when they plan to be uploaded?
